This course is tailored to our learners' needs. As the trainer delivers a PowerPoint presentation, he engages learners in discussions and encourages them to share their existing knowledge and experience and build on it. The course content focuses not only on the theory of HACCP, but its practical application in the workplace. A number of activities, discussions, scenarios, card games and other learning approaches make the theory concepts easier to understand and apply in practice. The learners receive daily homework and along with the trainer work on exam type questions to get the best preparation for the online exam/paper based that is then arranged (date and time) to suit learners’ needs.

Course Type: interactive webinar & remotely invigilated exam
This is a level 3 HACCP webinar that runs over 4 evenings from 16.00 to 19.00. The course covers a range of modules, including: Definitions and Importance of HACCP, Legislative Requirements, Food Safety Hazards and Types, CODEX 12 Logical Steps, Flow Diagrams, Hazard Analysis, Critical Control Points, Critical Limits, Targets and Tolerances, Monitoring Procedures, Corrective Actions, Validation and Verification, Documentation and Record Keeping. The qualification is essential to apply for and maintain external accreditation, i.e., BRC as well as for individuals responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of HACCP systems. During the training, our subject specialist takes learners through an interactive PowerPoint presentation and encourages them to participate actively in the session. This will allow learners to build on what they already know and brush up on aspects that they feel less familiar/confident with. HACCP is a subject loaded with a range of definitions, including critical limit, tolerance, target, verification, corrective action, validation, prerequisites, etc. Although they might seem confusing for the learners who are not familiar with them, during our course, we use a “definition card game” that is played a number of times by the learner (as an energiser after breaks) that gradually get the learner more and more confident with the terms that are essential to understand the subject fully and to pass the test. In addition to discussing HACCP L3, we take a more holistic look at matters that relate to HACCP (VACCP/TACCP or Root Cause Analysis) and branch out into their separate training fields. The course concludes with a fully accredited HACCP L3 exam that leads to accredited certification.

MyHACCP
MyHACCP is a free web tool that will guide you through the process of developing a food safety management system based on the HACCP principles.
This tool will produce a food safety management system for your business. This will show how your business can identify and control any hazards that occur in the food you manufacture.
MyHACCP is aimed at small food manufacturing businesses in the UK. This can include businesses with fifty or fewer employees. Access to the tool is not available to food businesses outside the UK.
